Combined C&G 2394 and 2395 Inspection and Test

You may have come here looking for the City and Guilds 2391, a qualification that has now been split into two; the 2394 Initial Inspection and Test, and the 2395 Periodic Inspection and Test.

This gives you more flexibility with regards to taking whichever side of the qualification best suits you. However, for many of you, both qualifications are still what you need.

Erudite’s combined 2394 and 2395 course is designed to replace the old 2391, which covered both Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing. Whilst there are undoubtedly differences in these two, there are many more similarities. It is also worth noting that many Initial Verifications take place in existing installations, where there has been an addition or alteration. An Inspector and Tester therefore requires skills from both the 2394 and 2395 to undertake this kind of work.

As with our individual courses, the combined course is taught by City and Guilds Examiner Simon Ogborn. His insight into the subject, City and Guilds requirements and the types of mistake candidates make is invaluable. As with all our courses, it is taught with real world application in mind, but our exam results speak for themselves.

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at those who wish to be able to Inspect and Test their own installations (2394), and also to undertake Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing on existing installations (2395).

The 2394 and 2395 Combined course package will save you both time and money. Take the course over 5 days, save yourself £240+VAT, and, on top of all that, be taught by a City & Guilds Inspection and Test Examiner!

How will I be assessed?

You will be required to undertake a 3 hour practical assessment including fault-finding per qualification, a 2 hour written exam per qualification, and an online multiple-choice exam.

The two of these qualifications are recognised by Stroma, NICEIC and NAPIT for registration.

The course itself is Tuesday to Friday and the following Monday 9am-5pm, allowing for revision time over the weekend. (Evening courses will run each Monday evening 6pm-9pm for 8 weeks).

Written exams will run on a Tuesday evening 6.30pm-8.30pm – this exam is set by City and Guilds and cannot be moved. There is also an extra half-day session for the practical assessment that will be arranged between student and lecturer.

5 DAYS / 8 EVENINGS  –  £725+VAT (£870) inc fees.
