Portable appliance inspection and testing (PAT) – City and Guilds 2377
Health and Safety regulations require that any electrical appliances used by workers and/or members of the public be safe and fit for their intended purpose.
One of the ways of achieving this is to have regular PAT testing carried out. As part of this 2-day PAT testing course, as well as going through the relevant legislation surrounding PAT testing, you will learn how to carry out the tests and decipher the results. This will allow you to say whether the equipment you are testing is safe for continued use.
In summary this course covers:
- Relevant Legislation surrounding Portable Appliance Testing
- User checks
- Formal Visual inspections
- Combined Inspection and Testing of appliances
- Filling out the relevant documentation
There will also be 3 practical assessments and a 50-question multiple-choice exam, successful completion of which will give you City and Guilds Certification.
The course is run over 2 days 830am – 430pm.
