Portable appliance inspection and testing (PAT) - City and Guilds 2377.

Learn how to inspect and test electrical equipment either for your own equipment or for customers.

Who is this for; you do not have to have an electrical background to undertake this course, and no formal qualifications are required, however we would recommend you undertake the two day course. This will give you an extra opportunity to understand the process and get plenty of practical experience testing and certifying a variety of equipment. Those with electrical experience would be able to undertake the one day course, but you would be welcome to do the two days for more practical experience.

You will be expected to undertake both a practical test and a one hour computer based exam to achieve this qualification, which are included in the course time.
