Helen Ogborn MBE – Centre Manager – Consultant / Lecturer in Bereavement Theory

Helen Ogborn Electrical Courses by Erudite Training Ltd

Yes, that is an MBE after her name! Gained in 2002 for the Services to the Victim Support Scheme in Tameside. Helen had the unenviable task of coordinating the support for families bereaved as a result of Harold Shipman’s actions. As the number of victims are believed to exceed 200, the number affected by this is huge, and the MBE was as a result of the feeling the family’s and those that worked with Helen had for her.

In her time at Victim Support, where she was for over 16 years, she rose to District Manager and became the principal trainer for Bereavement specialists. She still teaches for Victim Support, but also Police Bereavement Officers and others that have to deal with bereavement or those who are bereaved.

It is Helen's role to ensure the smooth running of the centre, including ensuring a great selection of biscuits!
